These are to be found in different families of birds as well as orders. They inhabit different places on the surface of the earth ranging from Africa, Asia, south and North America, and Oceania. They feed on different types of food that range from seeds, insects and grains. All of them however have the ability to fly. Udzingwe Forest Partridge Also known as Udzungwa Partridge, this bird is scientifically known as Xenoperdix udzingwensis and measures approximately 29 cm in length. This brownish partridge has a rofous face with underparts that are grey with brown crown mixture. These birds have yellow legs, red bills and brown iris. There is no difference between the males and the females. Uganda Woodland-warbler This is an African bird that belongs in the species of Old World warbler which in turn belongs in the Sylviidae family. It is to be found in an number of African countries which are Cameroon, Gambia, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and of course, Uganda. Uhehe Fiscal The Uhehe Fiscal (Lanius marwitzi) is a bird that is mainly found in East Africa, particularly in Tanzania. Ultramarine Flycatcher Scientifically called Ficedula superciliaris, the Ultramarine Flycatcher is also sometimes referred to as White Brown Blue Flycatcher and is a small arboreal flycatcher that belongs in the ficedula family. It is known to breed in the foothills of the Himalayan ranges and will move to southern India to winter there. Ultramarine Grosbeak This bird has a scientific name of Cyanocompsa brissonii and is a member of the cardinal bird species which in turn belongs in the family Cardinalidae. It is mostly found in South America in specific countries of Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia. These birds prefer tropical or subtropical lowland forests that are moist. Undulated Antpitta The Undulated Antpitta is a type of bird that is found in the family Formicariidae and is scientifically referred to as Grallaria squamigera. It is predominantly a South American bird and is mainly found in Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador. It has a propensity to colonize habitats that are found in subtropical or tropical montane forests that are naturally moist. Uluguru Bushshrike It is scientifically referred to as Malaconotus alius and is a species that include very rare birds, only being found in the Uluguru Mountains of the Tanzania mainland. After being discovered in 1926, many scientists believed that it was only found in one site in the whole world, which was in the 84km stretch of Uluguru North Forest Reserve. This view was later to change when, in March 2007, it was discovered in the South Forest Reserve in Morogoro by a team of Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania. Uniform Swiftlet This bird is also locally known as Vanikoro or Lowland Swiftlet, and is scientifically called Collocalia vanikorensis. It is extroverted and is of medium size with forked tail that is shallow. It is found on several parts of the earth, starting from Philippines, to New Guinea, Wallace and Melanesia.
